Meet Our Principal

Ms. Christie Newman

Ms. Newman comes to George Komure with 20 years of experience within Manteca Unified. She served as an elementary teacher and program coordinator at Great Valley, vice principal at Shasta and Neil Hafley, principal at Joshua Cowell and most recently as the principal of the Online Academy.

As she steps into this new role, Ms. Newman is excited to build strong relationships between students, parents, teachers, and administrators, encourage parent/guardian involvement, and continue to foster a positive school climate which is essential to academic achievement and student wellbeing.

I look forward to promoting a positive school culture that supports academic achievement, fosters student engagement, and promotes social-emotional wellbeing. It is my goal to ensure that all students have access to the resources and supports they need to be successful.
